The Secret in the Roots
Leo walked past a giant oak tree every day on his way home from school. One afternoon, he saw the owner of the property, Mrs. Miller, sitting on her porch."How old is that tree?" Leo asked.
Mrs. Miller smiled. "Over 200 years."
Leo looked at its enormous branches. "It must have had an easy life."
Mrs. Miller shook her head. "No. It survived lightning, hurricanes, droughts, and ice storms. That's exactly why it's still standing. Strong things aren't the ones that avoid storms, Leo. They're the ones that keep growing through them."
Sometimes life slows us down, and it can feel like we're not making any progress. But growth doesn't always happen where people can see it. Like the oak tree, some of the strongest growth happens deep in the roots.
This Week's Reflection
Where in your life might growth be happening, even if you can't see the results yet?
What small signs remind you to keep going?
Blooming Thought
Not every season of growth is visible. Sometimes the most important changes are happening quietly, beneath the surface, where strength is taking root. Trust that even on the days when you can't see your progress, you're still growing.
