The Things That Keep Calling You

Maybe purpose is not something you suddenly discover one day.

Maybe it is something that keeps finding you.

It may show up in the conversations you never get tired of having. In the problems you feel drawn to help solve. In the experiences that changed you and somehow became part of the wisdom you now carry.

There are things we can walk away from for years, only to find ourselves returning to them again.

That may be worth paying attention to.

Purpose does not always announce itself with certainty. Sometimes it leaves clues.

It follows you through different seasons of your life. It appears in unexpected places. It quietly asks for your attention again and again.

Perhaps knowing what you are here to do is less about searching for one perfect answer and more about recognizing what has been calling to you all along.

Sometimes, recognizing what keeps calling to us also means being willing to look more closely at who we have become along the way. You may also enjoy reading The Mirror I Never Expected to Find.
